No.84 Nammenzan Senkōin Yashimaji
Located atop Mt. Yashima, famed as a battlefield of the Genpei War. The main hall houses a seated Eleven-Faced Thousand-Armed Kannon believed to date to the 10th century. The Peace Bell and museum exhibits add historical depth, while panoramic Seto Inland Sea views enhance the spiritual experience.
I like to travel, and whenever I have time, I walk all over the place. He is particularly knowledgeable about the Shikoku Pilgrimage and enjoys talking about the temples and the journey. I like talking to people and value encounters.

Big plateau temple with great views over Takamatsu; steep paved ascent (one of the steepest). Don’t skip Lion Rock viewpoint loop: exit main gate, go ~200 m west to lookout, platform, shops/rest huts. Descent is steep and slippery when wet—use caution.
