No.76 Keisokusan Hōdōin Konzoji
This temple enshrines Yakushi Nyorai and features the unusual Five Patriarchs Hall, honoring the founders of five Buddhist schools—rare among the 88 temples. The “Wife-Returning Pine” preserves an anecdote associated with General Nogi, where history and devotion quietly intersect.
I like to travel, and whenever I have time, I walk all over the place. He is particularly knowledgeable about the Shikoku Pilgrimage and enjoys talking about the temples and the journey. I like talking to people and value encounters.

Shift after Temple 75 into an urban stretch (to ~80). Main hall has gold-leaf mannequin: donate (~¥500) and place leaf for financial blessing. Pull the big wooden prayer-bead rope (normal practice). Don’t miss Daishidō near the exit; ‘Golden Storehouse’ vibe.
