Also in Tadotsu, this temple features another “Pregnant Yakushi” statue. The grounds display 255 Kannon figures symbolizing sacred sites nationwide. A folk custom involves offering “me” (eye-shaped tokens) equal to one’s age in prayers for eye health, showing living traditions of popular devotion.
I like to travel, and whenever I have time, I walk all over the place. He is particularly knowledgeable about the Shikoku Pilgrimage and enjoys talking about the temples and the journey. I like talking to people and value encounters.

Quieter urban spot. Don’t miss the dark tunnel/walkway behind/left of main hall with hundreds of donated golden Buddhas. Small Fudō Myōō hall near parking; fire rituals. Seto Ōhashi Bridge Museum side trip is great (with public transport).
