No.29 Manizan Hōzōin Tosa Kokubunji
A historically rich temple in the warm climate of Nankoku City (Kōchi). Through a two-story gate you reach a main hall designated an Important Cultural Property, with craftsmanship—like its cypress-bark roofing—that carries ancient techniques forward. Also associated with Ki no Tsurayuki and the world of Tosa Nikki, it offers a meaningful historical milestone on the route.
I like to travel, and whenever I have time, I walk all over the place. He is particularly knowledgeable about the Shikoku Pilgrimage and enjoys talking about the temples and the journey. I like talking to people and value encounters.

Kōchi’s Kokubun-ji with beautiful energy and a famous moss garden (national historic site). Large trees at the entrance feel like a portal; tea ceremonies are offered in a dedicated hall. Optional longer approach via Shikoku Nature Trail.
