No.7 Kōmyōzan Rengein Jurakuji
A temple in Awa, Tokushima. The name “Jūraku” (Ten Joys) expresses a wish to transcend unavoidable human suffering and find peace and light. The vermilion and white gate is strikingly beautiful, and the main hall enshrines Amida Nyorai. Revered for eye-healing blessings, it’s a quiet place to steady your mind.
I like to travel, and whenever I have time, I walk all over the place. He is particularly knowledgeable about the Shikoku Pilgrimage and enjoys talking about the temples and the journey. I like talking to people and value encounters.

Short quiet walk from Temple 6; atmosphere feels heavy and unusual to some pilgrims. Visit the small shrine inside the gate tower. Toilets are inside via the stamp office; shukubō available, but staying at Temple 6 is usually better.
