No.49 Sairinzan Sanzōin Jodoji
A calm temple in a residential area near Dōgo Onsen, Matsuyama. Through the Niō Gate stands a heavy, Important Cultural Property main hall. Inside is a statue of Kūya Shōnin (not publicly shown), tied to a legend where the chanting voice becomes the Buddha. Stone Buddhas representing all 88 line the grounds, offering a quiet prayerful moment in the city.
I like to travel, and whenever I have time, I walk all over the place. He is particularly knowledgeable about the Shikoku Pilgrimage and enjoys talking about the temples and the journey. I like talking to people and value encounters.

Unpretentious, rebuilt after repeated fires; classic compact grounds with a quieter/emptier atmosphere. Revered for a famed Kuya Shōnin statue. Okuno-in is close by (~100 m north) in a nearby park.
