No.69 Shippōzan Kannonji
From its elevated grounds, visitors can overlook the famous Zenigata Sand Sculpture. Sharing a gate with Temple 68, this Important Cultural Property main hall features vivid vermilion pillars. The juxtaposition of traditional Kanon-ji and modern Jinne-in evokes the sense of past and present coexisting along the pilgrimage.
I like to travel, and whenever I have time, I walk all over the place. He is particularly knowledgeable about the Shikoku Pilgrimage and enjoys talking about the temples and the journey. I like talking to people and value encounters.
Johannes comment
Co-located with Temple 68 but warmer atmosphere and better hall design. Sacred ginkgo tree nearby. Main honzon usually hidden (hibutsu) and only shows every once in a while. Marunaka supermarket in front for supplies.
