No.11 Kongōzan Ichijōin Fujiidera
A temple on a hill overlooking fields and clear streams in Yoshinogawa, Tokushima. Beyond the simple, dignified gate, wisteria in five colors brightens the calm grounds. The main hall ceiling features a powerful cloud-dragon painting, and Yakushi Nyorai is revered here for protection and relief from misfortune. Known as a place of Kōbō Daishi’s training, it makes a meaningful checkpoint in the early pilgrimage.
I like to travel, and whenever I have time, I walk all over the place. He is particularly knowledgeable about the Shikoku Pilgrimage and enjoys talking about the temples and the journey. I like talking to people and value encounters.

Long walk from Temple 10; plan lodging in between. Last good stop before the first Henro Korogashi to Temple 12. Modern hostel ~200 m before the temple; rare luggage forwarding service can help you climb to T12 without packs (via partner lodging Sudachi An).
