No.77 Sōdasan Myōōin Doryuji
In the port town of Tadotsu, this temple is known for its “Pregnant Yakushi,” a statue containing another Buddha image within. Rows of 255 Kannon statues representing pilgrimage sites across Japan create an impressive spectacle. The temple is especially revered for prayers for eye health and healing.
I like to travel, and whenever I have time, I walk all over the place. He is particularly knowledgeable about the Shikoku Pilgrimage and enjoys talking about the temples and the journey. I like talking to people and value encounters.

Temple is modest; from here the worst urban Marugame section begins. Must-visit pilgrim shop ‘Sanai’: huge selection, free tea, warm owners—pilgrim heaven.
