No.75 Gogakusan Tanjōin Zentsuji
The birthplace of Kūkai and one of the most important temples in Japanese Buddhism. The vast grounds are divided into eastern and western precincts, with the Daishidō on Kūkai’s birth site. A 43-meter wooden five-storied pagoda is among Japan’s largest. With over 1,200 years of history, it offers pilgrims a profound sense of returning to Buddhism’s roots.
I like to travel, and whenever I have time, I walk all over the place. He is particularly knowledgeable about the Shikoku Pilgrimage and enjoys talking about the temples and the journey. I like talking to people and value encounters.
