No.67 Komatsuo-zan Fudōkōin Daikoji
A tranquil rural temple with one of the largest Niō guardian statues in the pilgrimage, standing over three meters tall. The “Seven-Day Candle Prayer,” in which red candles are lit for a week with written wishes, is a distinctive ritual. Ancient trees and the site’s history as a dual-sect training ground deepen its spiritual character.
I like to travel, and whenever I have time, I walk all over the place. He is particularly knowledgeable about the Shikoku Pilgrimage and enjoys talking about the temples and the journey. I like talking to people and value encounters.

Welcoming temple with large Kōbō Daishi statue and sacred tree. On-site shrine-style okuno-in. First temple in Kagawa; emotional entry into ‘Nirvana’ stage. Pass Bekkaku 16 if descending from 66 vie ropeway.
