No.3 Kikkōzan Shakain Konsenji
A temple set in Tokushima’s rural landscape (Itano). A vermilion gate and small bridge mark the passage from everyday life into sacred space. The main hall features traditional irimoya (hip-and-gable) architecture, and the Daishi Hall is quietly solemn. A highlight is the “Golden Well”—it’s said that if your reflection appears, you’ll enjoy long life. The richly red-toned precincts feel especially memorable among the early temples.
I like to travel, and whenever I have time, I walk all over the place. He is particularly knowledgeable about the Shikoku Pilgrimage and enjoys talking about the temples and the journey. I like talking to people and value encounters.

The walking route enters from the back, but exit and re‑enter through the main red gate before praying. Covered rest area for food, toilets near the main entrance parking. Small temple with beautiful statue symmetry and very friendly atmosphere.
