No.50 Higashiyama Rurikōin Hantaji
A scenic hilltop temple outside Matsuyama with wide views—Matsuyama Castle, the city, and even the Seto Inland Sea on clear days. The Yakushi Nyorai is popular for health prayers, and the bell-tower ceiling features “filial piety” paintings. With small halls and shrines scattered around, it’s a serene place to forget the city’s noise and let the view settle the mind.
I like to travel, and whenever I have time, I walk all over the place. He is particularly knowledgeable about the Shikoku Pilgrimage and enjoys talking about the temples and the journey. I like talking to people and value encounters.

Energetically heavy/strange-feeling temple noted for imperial ties and worship of Kangiten (supported historically by powerful families). A large onsen nearby makes a good detour on the way toward Temple 51.
